What is micropigmentation?
Permanent make-up is the art and science of implanting color into the skin.  Specialized instruments allow your technician to place color into the layer of skin known as the epidermis.  Because the outer most layer of skin, the epidermis, is always shedding itself, you are looking at the color through a thin veil of skin.  When a procedure is completed, the color will appear darker than the final result.  This is because the color in the top layer will flake off during the healing process lightening the overall effect.  It is a cosmetic invasive procedure that requires skill, experience and cooperation with your permanent cosmetic professional.

Does it hurt?
Topical anesthesia's are utilized to alleviate discomfort before, during and after the procedure.  Your comfort is important to us and the outcome of your treatment.

Is the procedure safe?
Permanent Cosmetic procedures are safe if the technician has had proper education and follows all OSHA and CDC guidelines.  Single use, sterile needles, pigments and machine parts are used for each client and then properly disposed of.

Is the procedure permanent?
Micropigmentation lasts a long time, but not forever.  As you become accustomed to your new makeup it's not uncommon to want more.  You will want to be sure to follow through with your touch up appointment in 4-6 weeks.  You may want to re-fresh your make-up every few years.

Is this a smart investment?
Your investment in permanent make-up saves you time and money in the long run.  Re-freshers are required every few years to keep your make-up looking fresh.  Your investment can completely eliminate the daily time ritual of applying make-up.  You'll also save the embarrassment of smeared, smudged make-up.  Don't forget the savings of buying expensive cosmetics.  Remember, you'll wake up EVERYDAY looking beautiful!!  That's priceless!

How will I look immediately after my procedure?
Your procedure area may be slightly swollen and irritated.  The area may also be darker for a few days while it is in the healing process.  While your procedure is healing, you will go through three phases before you will experience your final result.  The area must first heal, peel and fade.  Final results may take up to 4-6 weeks.  You will be able to return to normal activities the following day.  On rare occasions, some bruising may result.  Be sure to follow your after care instructions and call us with any questions.
